I attended a reception last night at the Kentucky Horse Park to open an unprecedented, world-exclusive exhibition at the International Museum of the Horse.
Called “A Gift from the Desert: The Art, History and Culture of the Arabian Horse,” the exhibition is the largest ever at the Horse Park.
It represents 20 countries, 28 museums and over 400 objects, and it’s designed not only to deepen our knowledge of the history of the horse but also promote cultural understanding and awareness of the Near East.
Saudi Arabia and Kentucky are separated by half a globe, but there is no doubt we are linked by a mutual fascination for the power, grace and beauty of the horse.
The exhibition was made possible through the generosity of our presenting sponsor, the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation.
It runs through Oct. 15. You should check it out.
